Who runs the course?
The course is run by the School of Economic Science, a registered educational charity, founded in 1937.
We are a centre of spiritual and practical knowledge and enquiry. Our aim is to help individuals lead a fuller, richer and more useful life.
The main subject explored in the School today is practical, living philosophy, based mostly on the philosophy of Advaita, or unity.
Courses are also offered in economics with justice. These aim to show how a more equitable distribution of wealth can be achieved while leaving the world in as good a condition as we find it, or better.
In addition to philosophy and economics, the School offers a wide range of other courses, including art courses; seminars; workshops; concerts and lectures.
